I LOVE to cook, HATE to meal plan. When I get stuck or run out of ideas- it's called "menu block", I use this simple rule to get the ideas flowing...
I plan 1 of each of these 6 items for the week
- 1 One-Pot-Wonder (like chili, soup or roast)
- 1 Salad Entree
- 1 Pasta Dish
- 1 Meat and Veggie
- 1 Wrap it Up Meal (taco, wrap or sandwich)
- 1 Wild Card (something new or an old standby)
You could have a "Vegan Night", "Homemade Pizza Night" or "Kid's Choice Night."
How 'bout, once a week make a traditional dish from a different country.
Better yet, a "Pick-A-Meal-from-Leila's-Blog-Night" That sounds mighty fun!
