I'm not kidding when I say that I know nothing about wine, I wouldn't joke about that, but a while back I discovered that some white wines have hints of grapefruit, GRAPEFRUIT. This phenomenon took me from not liking white wine very much, to liking it a little too much.
Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough, New Zealand!! That's it, that's the secret!
White wines from this region tend to be inexpensive and amazing. They're crisp and refreshing with tastes of citrus.
You probably don't want recommendations from a non-connoisseur but here are a couple anyway...
Chasing Venus (grapefruit)
Mohua (tropical citrus)
Kim Crawford (fragrant & tropical)
Star Lane California (passion fruit )
